Proposed Atlanta office design concept: CannonDesign's mission statement is to "create design solutions to the greatest challenges facing their clients and society." They are committed to public interest in design. Thus, a RIPPLE EFFECT is being created. Just like the ever-expanding ripples across a body of water, CannonDesign will extend its influence, not only through each individual, but through the Atlanta community.
A repetition of forms and patterns that curve and fold will be manifested in each space. Departments will overflow into the next, influencing positive and collaborative ideas. But, in the midst of excitement, there are points of tranquility and peace. These places allow workers to think and be inspired, places where ideas flow like waves billowing from movement.
Commercial Office / CannonDesign
CannonDesign is a highly collaborative and team-oriented design firm. Through the analysis of the company, it was determined that an open plan is the most important aspect of their office composition. The seamless flow from one space to another supports multi-disciplinary work and supports the "integrated" workplace that CannonDesign strives for as a design firm.
The fictitiously designed CannonDesign Atlanta office will enforce multi-functional spaces. Various activities should flow off of one another and there should be multiple workplace settings that convey the values and culture of the design organization. Through integration, a single culture and cohesive identity is engaged.
When spaces are consolidated and multi-functioning, the staff and clients reap the benefits. Walls are "torn down" and the company becomes transparent and the system, more dynamic.
